Aoshima, on the southern coast of Miyazaki, is one of Kyushu’s most family-friendly beach destinations: shallow water, soft sand, and a palm-lined boulevard.
It’s also a 5-minute walk from Aoshima Beach Park and Aoshima Shrine on its rocky islet. With kids, staying in Aoshima itself — rather than commuting from Miyazaki city — doubles the beach time and removes the morning drive.
